The Morelia Bypass consists of the construction of a new A2-type highway infrastructure with a length of 63.1 km, starting at km 0+500.00 of the Mexico–Guadalajara highway and ending at km 58+136.83 of the Pátzcuaro–Uruapan highway. Three structures are planned, the most significant being the Viaducto El Nispo, a structure with a length of 316.94 m and a maximum pier height of 52.18 m. It is composed of 42 post-tensioned beams and its construction will use 145,656 kg of prestressing steel; 1,666,208 kg of steel; and 9,798 m³ of concrete.
